a little book of prose-poetry ... 85

Fond memories
In me awaken
As I look upon you now:
Aging whitewash walls
'Neath sheltering thatch;
A humble, yet noble
Earthly creation
At one with all of nature.
More than a simple cottage
On a quiet country lane;
’Tis a magical place, where
Mind and body become lost
In spiritual enlightenment.
