I find myself

In a better place

If, instead of

Talking so much,

I listen with

God-given Grace.

’Tis then, with my

Two higher senses,

My true inner

Spiritual Being,

I hear, and

I understand

What the other,

With innocent zeal,

Is not yet seeing.

The simple act

of being KIND,

I find, begins

With the mind.

Awaken each day,

Think well of yourself

And of others too;

Let God’s loving care

Do wonders for you.

I’ve all this within me

And you do too;

God’s transforming power:

I know that it’s true.

Swimming hole ... FUN !

Watermelon on ice

Is all very nice;

It refreshes

Many a soul.

I, however,

Will never say never

To a dip in the old

Swimming hole.

With never a thought

How or why

I let go of the rope

Way up in the sky.

Suspended in air

While saying a prayer

And awaiting the fall,

I hold tight to my nose

And splash into the pool:

Now that’s cool!

hide 'n go seek ...

If I close my eyes

And don’t ever peek

No one will see me

In hide ‘n go seek.

When at last

They stop looking

And calling my name

I’ll open my eyes

Midst joyous cries:

Glad for my new-found fame.
