Some say I look quite angelic
With my hair done up in braids.
I thank them politely
And say with a smile
I like my hair this way,
Especially when I’m
With my friends at play.
While skipping or biking
Or just having fun
I’m always aware
That God’s at my side
And I’m quick to give thanks
I’m in His care.
