a little book of prose-poetry ... 33

Watermelon on ice
Is all very nice;
It refreshes
Many a soul.
I, however,
Will never say never
To a dip in the old
Swimming hole.
With never a thought
How or why
I let go of the rope
Way up in the sky.
Suspended in air
While saying a prayer
And awaiting the fall,
I hold tight to my nose
And splash into the pool:
Now that’s cool !
